The Goddess of Pop is back at the Met Gala.

Cher returned to fashion’s biggest night for the first time in over a decade on Monday, hitting the red carpet wearing an edgy, all-black Burberry ensemble.

Styled by Patti Wilson, she cut a striking pose in a silk tulle skirt which featured a high slit, and a cropped leather bustier top with long sleeves.

She covered her lower half in a pair of lace tights, and finished the look with black leather booties.

“I love to see people expressing themselves and it gives me ideas and encouragement about the next generation coming up,” the singer told Vogue as she shared her thoughts on this year’s theme: “Fashion Is Art.”

“I remember at my first Met Gala, I was naked, and people were so upset about it. But now, people wouldn’t even give it a thought. But I was real skinny, so there was nothing really showing,” she joked.

“Through intimate collaboration with stylist Patti Wilson, [Daniel] Lee and the design team were inspired by Cher’s iconic style history where she has consciously used clothing and the body as a performance tool, including the visionary illusion Bob Mackie dress she wore to The Met Gala in 1974,” reads notes from Burberry, according to Town & Country.

The “Believe” songstress’ last appearance at the Met Gala was in 2015, when she accompanied Marc Jacobs in a multicolored, high-slit sequined dress of his design.

Though she rarely pops up at Vogue’s big ball, Cher always makes headlines when she does.

Who could forget when she made her Met Gala debut in 1974, clad in a see-through Bob Mackie gown dripping with feathers and strategically placed rhinestones?

The scandalous style made the cover of Time magazine and launched a fashionably fruitful, decades-long collaborative relationship between Mackie and Cher.

The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer also wore a Mackie original at the 1985 Met Gala, but pivoted to Versace — a black leather gown adorned with a sparkling blue cross, to be exact — for her next appearance at the ball in 1997.

And while she skipped the Met red carpet in 2019, Cher treated guests to a medley of her hits as that year’s surprise musical performer; fitting, considering her costumes were included in the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” exhibition.
