During his nine seasons in a Chelsea shirt, Didier Drogba established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in Chelsea's history.
Not only did the big Ivorian lead the line in an inimitable way at Stamford Bridge, but he also developed a strong connection with the club.
In fact, he still speaks fondly of his time in West London and recounts memories from his days as a Chelsea player.
While most Chelsea fans are convinced that there will never be another striker like Drogba, he has sprung a surprise by comparing himself to a Chelsea star who has now left the club on loan.
Nicolas Jackson endured a rough stint in a Chelsea shirt, but it seems as though he has a fan in Drogba.
Not only is Drogba fond of Jackson’s game, but he has also said that Jackson reminds him of himself from yesteryear.

Didier Drogba finds similarities between himself and Nicolas Jackson
While Drogba’s praise for Jackson might come as a surprise or even as a shock to some, the Ivorian is steadfast in his belief.
Chelsea fans have been critical of Jackson for some time, not seeing him as a suitable option to lead the line for Enzo Maresca. His lack of cutting edge is often cited, and it has been a source of frustration for a couple of seasons.

But when Drogba was asked about African players in the Premier League, he felt obliged to mention the Chelsea loanee.
In an interview for Sporty TV, he says, “I used to like Jackson. Yeah. Because I’ve seen a lot of similarities in his debut at Chelsea, he was wearing number 15 as well, like I was.
“Unfortunately, it was a difficult time for him at Chelsea, but now at Bayern Munich, he’s doing better, so I’m happy for him.”
Jackson’s had a slow start to life in Germany, and fans were eager to point out his shortcomings despite him still being on the books at Chelsea.
But his recent performances in the Champions League — two goals and an assist in three games — point to Jackson finding his feet.
