Chelsea learn asking price for Premier league star

Regardless of whether they win the Conference League or manage to secure a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, Chelsea are set for a busy summer transfer window.

The Blues are set to witness incomings and outgoings in equal measure as Enzo Maresca prepares his squad for the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Maresca is said to be on the lookout for a centre back, a striker and a right-footed attacker to boost his squad’s chances of competing for silverware next season.

And Morgan Rogers is one of the names that has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with the player reportedly being open to a move away from Villa Park.

According to a report by TeamTalk, Aston Villa have reportedly slapped a £90m price tag on Morgan Rogers should he want to force a move away from the Villans.

While a striker is the main priority the Blues are also in the market for a wide player with Maresca said to want five wingers in his squad next season.

Why Rogers to Chelsea makes sense

Though the Blues have been linked to the likes of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, signing Morgan Rogers would be a better option, since he has proved his mettle in the Premier League.

While the same could also be said about Garnacho, he has blown hot and cold for United this season, and in comparison, Rogers has been consistent with his performances for Villa.

Additionally, Chelsea have an advantage in the race to sign Rogers since Maresca has previously worked with him during his time at the Manchester City academy and could convince Rogers to potentially reunite with him at Stamford Bridge.
