Chelsea host Newcastle in the Premier League after a tough midweek outing at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The European champions ran out 5-2 winners in a pulsating encounter at the Parc des Princes. leaving Liam Rosenior's side with a mountain to climb in the next round.

First up they face a key clash with Newcastle, who drew 1-1 with Barcelona on Tuesday, in a match that could be crucial to their top-four ambitions this season.

Chelsea currently lie fifth, three points behind Manchester United and Aston Villa. The third and fourth-place sides play one another at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Chelsea injury list

Below is the latest injury picture for Chelsea, including estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.

Estevao

  • Injury: Hamstring
  • Expected return date: March 18 (vs. Barcelona)

Estevao suffered a hamstring injury in training on the eve of the draw with Burnley. He went for a scan and, although he did not commit to a timeframe, Rosenior said the Brazil international would "be out for a little bit longer."

The Blues winger returned to individual training ahead of the FA Cup visit to Wrexham, although Rosenior indicated he is probably not quite ready for the Newcastle match.

Jamie Gittens

  • Injury: Hamstring
  • Expected return date: March 14 (vs. Newcastle)

Gittens departed after 25 minutes in the comeback win over West Ham, having picked up a hamstring injury. Tests confirmed he had suffered a muscle tear. Rosenior described it as "long-term", but Gittens returned to training on the week of the Newcastle game.

Levi Colwill

  • Injury: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear
  • Expected return date: April/May 2026

Colwill suffered an ACL tear in preseason and has missed all of the campaign to date. The England defender has returned to training but is still weeks away from action.

Chelsea suspension list

Petro Neto

  • Suspension: Disciplinary (one Premier League match)
  • Expected return date: March 18 (vs. Barcelona)

Neto has been hit with an additional one-match domestic suspension by the Football Association for failing to leave the pitch after his red card at Arsenal on March 1. The Portugal winger could also receive a suspension from UEFA after he pushed a ballboy during the loss at PSG.

Mykhailo Mudryk

  • Suspension: Doping
  • Expected return date: Unknown

Ukraine international Mudryk has not been available for selection since December 2024 after failing a doping test.
