Cheifs heiress Gracie Hunt gushes over new boyfriend, 'I'm dating my best friend'

Gracie Hunt is the daughter of Clark Hunt, the co-owner of the Kansas City Chiefs and the expected heiress of the team. Therefore, it really just makes sense that she would be dating someone else who is also heavily involved in the sports world. 

Hunt first publicly announced in May that she had started dating former Southern Methodist University football player Derek Green. Her new beau is also the son of former football pro Trent Green, who played 15 seasons in the NFL. 

So far, the romance seems to be off to a great start. Hunt turned to Instagram on Wednesday, July 17, to gush over her new relationship. She shared a series of video clips of her and Green’s recent adventures with text over the clips reading, “You look happier” and “Thank you, I’m dating my best friend.” 

Taylor Swift’s hit song, “You Belong With Me,” was linked to the post. 

While Hunt and Green may have only started dating recently, they’ve known each other for much longer than that. 

“Friends since 2017 🫶🏼,” Hunt captioned the post. 

Derek was previously the placeholder and quarterback for the SMU Mustangs. Today, he works as an operations manager. 

Meanwhile, Hunt is a former pageant queen who was crowned Miss Kansas USA in 2021.
