Super Bowl 2026: Why Charlie Puth's National Anthem Performance Deserves All the Attention
Charlie Puth would like your attention.
Because he has some good news to share. The singer and his wife Brooke Sansone welcomed their first baby together, the couple shared in a joint Instagram post on March 23.
"Hey Jude," they captioned photos of their baby boy, noting his true date of arrival, "3.13.26."
Brooke—who he married in a Montecito, Calif., wedding in September 2024—revealed their baby's full name in a separate post shared to her Instagram Stories, writing, "Jude Crawford Puth." In a follow up post, she noted their baby was simply her "whole world."
As Charlie prepared for the baby, he was also gearing up for another arrival: his new album Whatever’s Clever!, out March 27.
"I honestly can’t even think about it right now,” the 34-year-old told Rolling Stone in January, “because that’s why my jaw tenses up."
Meanwhile, Charlie’s new world tour kicks off next month, which he said he hopes to bring Brooke and the baby along for.
"I always want to make sure that I’m there for baby," he continued. "I wanna make sure that the baby has a normal life, and we’ll have the big headphones onstage, behind stage, and hopefully I can wave to baby."
However, the “Attention” singer admitted, "Touring is a really unnatural thing."
“I can just tell that’s not gonna be sustainable,” he continued. “So we’ll do it where it makes sense, but I just want the most normal life for my child possible. I don’t want them to travel on airplanes constantly."
But perhaps Charlie’s concerns for his little one are more foundational than attending concerts.

“I hope baby likes music, because it’s the only thing I’m good at,” he told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October. “My mom used to put the headphones—it was the '90s, so the headphones were big—just put them on her tummy.”
Noting James Taylor and Luther Vandross as influences, he quipped, “I’ll do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not.”
Of course, Charlie and Brooke aren’t the only stars to grow their family this year. Read on to see more celebs who welcomed a baby this year.
