Much of the offseason buzz about a still-unsigned veteran wide receiver has centered around Stefon Diggs.

Don't forget about Keenan Allen, though.

The long-time Chargers WR, who spent one season with the Chicago Bears as well, remains a free agent, too.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has recently provided some new insight into what Allen could be up to in his free agency.

Last year, Fowler notes, Allen was specifically linked to a return to the West Coast. This time around, Fowler hasn't heard anything that geographically specific.

That either is someone behind the scenes knowing that Allen already has a non-West Coast team in mind, or simply the veteran leaving all his options open as he searches for his next gig.

Allen and Diggs aren't alone in competing potentially for the same jobs. Deebo Samuel and DeAndre Hopkins are still free agents, too.

Allen turned 34 years old in April and is coming off a season in which he had 81 catches for 777 yards. He remains one of the best route-runners and catchers of the football in the NFL.

He still could align to return to the Chargers, or Allen could end up in a new uniform.

Either way, he can still positively impact winning as a secondary pass-game weapon who can pick up small chunks of yardage at a time.

Allen doesn't have to rush things, because he likely knows how to get himself ready for a season anyway. But it'd probably be ready for him, and his fellow veteran wideouts, to know sooner rather than later where they'll be going for the season ahead.
