Channing Tatum is saying “absolutely not” to Jax Taylor’s repeated claim that they were once roommates.
The “Magic Mike” star, 45, shut down Taylor’s claim during an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” on Monday. Host Andy Cohen asked Tatum if he “was the roommate of someone called Jax on ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ Jason Cauchi.”
Jax Taylor’s real name is Jason Cauchi.
Tatum bluntly replied, “Absolutely not,” then laughed.
Cohen shared that Taylor had been claiming that the two were roommates back when they were both young models, and Tatum said he would have to see a picture of him. The “Blink Twice” actor explained that he did live in a “model house” — where you live with other models and you only get a bed — and that he got kicked out for getting into a fight with one of the other guys.
After Cohen showed him pictures of Taylor, Tatum said he still didn’t recognize him.
“All models look the same kinda, he’s a good-looking guy,” Tatum said.
“I don’t think I ever roommated with him, but maybe, I guess,” he added.

Taylor’s rep didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Taylor claimed he and Tatum once lived together during a 2013 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”
“Yeah, he was my first roommate in New York when I first started modeling,” he said.
Taylor repeated the claim in a May 2023 Rolling Stone interview, describing the same living situation Tatum referred to as a model house.
“It was around 2002, and those agencies had apartments for models that were coming into town,” Taylor, 46, explained to the magazine. “They’re basically like dorm rooms with bunkbeds. A tiny room with bunk beds and a bathroom. Channing was one of six guys in our room.”
The reality star said that the “Step Up” star didn’t stay long since he landed a Mountain Dew commercial and his career took off.
Tatum’s “She’s the Man” co-star Amanda Bynes also once referenced his memorable Mountain Dew commercial — in which he flips a car while drinking the soda — in a 2018 interview with Paper magazine.
“I totally fought for Channing [to get cast in] that movie because he wasn’t famous yet,” Bynes told the outlet. “He’d just done a Mountain Dew commercial and I was like, ‘This guy’s a star—every girl will love him!'”
