Let the 70th edition of the UEFA Champions League conclude. In this year's edition, there were a few changes.

The league expanded to 36 teams this season, changing from group play to league play and resulting in 189 total matches. Beginning in September and concluding in May, it was a long but exciting season as Europe's best clubs competed for the cup.

While Real Madrid was the favorite, entering the season after winning their 15th title last year, it comes down to PSG and Inter Milan in the finals. PSG downed Arsenal while Inter Milan defeated Barca in the semifinals.

The Italian squad has a chip on their shoulder after losing the trophy two years ago. They've won it all once before, in 2010. The French team, however, is an underdog that should not be understated. They've made it to the Finals just once before, falling short in 2020.

Whether you're diehard supporter for either team or simply a soccer fan, the UEFA Champions League is your moment.

If you want to be at the finals live in person, the Sporting News has your guide for everything from tickets to stadium policies for the UEFA Champions League Final.

UEFA Champions League format 2024-25

This year, the Champions League has adapted a new format, which includes expanding from 32 to 36 teams with clubs organized into four groups of nine. Each club will face eight different teams with four matches at home and four on the road.

To make the final, teams must finish league play as a top-16 seed. The top eight automatically advance to the Round of 16 while those finishing ninth to 24th will play in the knockout stage, which will be played in February.

The Round of 16 will commence in March while the quarterfinals take place in April and semifinals in April and May.

Additionally, teams that finish in the bottom 12 of league stage will not drop into the Europa League, instead eliminated from European competition for that season.
