The Ferris State juggernaut rolls on through two weeks of the 2026 season, but the top-ranked team in Division II faces its toughest challenge yet Saturday.
The Bulldogs headed west to meet No. 9 Central Washington in what should be a fascinating intersectional matchup of the D2 elite.
While the Bulldogs have pounded their first two opponents, Pittsburg State (42-14) and Bentley (38-3), the Wildcats opened their season by going up a division for a narrow 24-17 defeat at FCS Cal Poly.
CWU outgained the Mustangs 430-384 and dominated time of possession but a pair of turnovers to none for Cal Poly didn't help the cause. If the Wildcats can clean things up at home, they'll have a fighting chance to end the Bulldogs' 32-game winning streak.
