The New York Knicks went into TD Garden on Monday and stole Game 1 from the Boston Celtics, after overcoming a 20-point deficit.
They forced the game into overtime after a Jalen Brunson floater to win the game barely rimmed out.
Now that each team has a feel for each other’s game plans, we as fans should know what to expect come tipoff at 7 p.m. EST.
In game one, the storyline was the Celtics missing a playoff record 45 three-pointers, only making 15 of their 60 attempts. Boston has no problem putting up that many shots from beyond the arc, but it only comes back to bite them in situations like the one in Monday’s contest.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown likely will not have performances as bad as they did in the first game. Tatum averaged 33.5 ppg against the Knicks this regular season and will continue to punish Karl-Anthony Towns on switches. Expect the superstar duo to be much more impactful this time around.
On the other hand, expect the Knicks' starters to play nearly every minute of the game. On Monday, Mikal Bridges played 51 minutes, even though he only had 8 points. Head Coach Tom Thibodeau favors his starters, with 4 out of 5 of them playing 44+ minutes.

On one side, Boston’s superstar lineup seems like it should be enough to wear out the Knicks. However, the defensive trio of OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart seemingly match up well.
Will the Knicks be able to capitalize in Boston, or will the superteam defend their home court and even up the series?
