Celtics to receive $114 million dollar All-Star guard in proposed blockbuster three-team trade

The Boston Celtics have been an on and off team recently, winning one game and losing the next. They need to shake things up, and this proposed trade by Boston Celtics on SI’s Matt Levine would definitely do that. In a blockbuster trade, the Celtics would get All-Star guard Dejounte Murray. Here’s how it’d go:

Boston Celtics get: Dejounte Murray

New Orleans Pelicans get: Norman Powell, P.J. Tucker, a 2025 first-rounder, a 2029 first-rounder, a 2030 first-round draft pick swap, and a 2031 second-rounder

L.A. Clippers get: Jrue Holiday

Murray would be amazing for the Celtics. This season, Murray is averaging 17 points, six and a half rebounds, seven and a half assists, and two steals per game. He would be a huge upgrade from Holiday, and if he can get back on track shooting-wise, he’d be even better.

This trade works for everyone. The Celtics get everything they need in Murray, and the Clippers get a true point guard that is in the same contract timeline as James Harden and Kawhi Leonard.

As for New Orleans, they’re looking like they are going into a rebuild. What better way to do it than get two low contracts and a bunch of picks for one guy?

Hopefully the Celtics consider this trade, as it could make them virtually unbeatable.
