Donovan Mitchell sure looked comfortable in his throwback Cleveland Cavaliers jersey on Wednesday night.
He was so good that he did something not done in NBA history since Michael Jordan.
Here are the four boxes Mitchell checked:
- 45-plus points
- 8-plus assists
- 70% FG shooting
- 10-plus FT without a miss
That's only been done once before, according to OptaStats: by Michael Jordan on Jan. 26, 1985.

Taking on the Philadelphia 76ers, Mitchell was absolutely brilliant.
He dropped 46 points, making 15-of-21 shots from the floor, including 6-for-11 from 3. He was 10-for-10 from the line, grabbed four rebounds, dished out eight assists and nabbed a steal.
The Cavs won, 132-121.
Mitchell wasn't without help. Jarrett Allen had 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Evan Mobley added 23 points. The pair of bigs combined for five blocks (3 for Allen, 2 for Mobley).
But this was Mitchell's night. He played 35 minutes to score the 46 points, and he was a plus-17 in a game the Cavs won by 11.
Mitchell remains the leader of this Cleveland team, even as Mobley learns how to take control more often.
And on a night when Mitchell has it going like this, it's an absolutely incredible sight to behold.
