I am apart of a lovely group that organizes events for young women and female identifying folks to connect and meet up for

  • 03

events from silent book clubs to craft nights to group parties. This weekend I was lucky to snag a ticket on a 14 person private wine

  • 04

tour. It was an amazing afternoon and our driver/tour guide was so incredible. Stop 3 on our tour was a cider farm.

  • 05

Our bus pulls up and immediately we all clocked that there were cats by the parking area. We piled out and all of us were

  • 06

fawning over a tiny orange kitten that was keen to be held and pet. Our tour guide tells us the kitten is available for adoption and its 2 siblings had already found

homes. The parents? Three feral strays that rolled up in May. Unclear which is the Dad. Mom was very skittish. When our tasting finished I went over to

  • 09

chill with the kitten. And then I asked the owner what the process was to adopt her. He said I could just take her or come back another day if I wanted to

  • 10

arrange pick up. So they taped up a box, punched some holes in it and voila. Kitten set up to drive back with us.

Zesty orange girl loves pets but has her spicy moments. Had friends meet me with a carrier when we got back to the city

  • 12

because she was determined to yeet herself from the box. And now she is quarantining in my bathroom as she has fleas and probably parasites. Appointment

  • 13

with our vet is scheduled for tomorrow. My dog is obsessed. My adult cat is offended. And the process of integration will be ongoing.

  • 14

I was not drink either. Just fell in love with a tiny orange kitten. Name TBD. CDS got me. And this kitten also has 14 godparents courtesy of my tour group.

UPDATE! It's a BOY! Vet confirmed small but present trouble puffs. Naming saga continues. On top of fleas,

  • 16

BB has parasites for sure. A bit small for 12 weeks old and we're checking for anemia given the fleas. All the fun. Vet said he was the best kitten he'd even done a blood draw on. So please clap.

Krampus_Valet Those are the most whisker looking whiskers I've ever seen.

  • He may still be a tiny kitten, but those whiskers are looking seriously grown. They’re practically taking up half his little face, like he borrowed them from a much bigger cat while he waits to grow into them. Between the tiny ears, baby face, and those impressively long whiskers sticking out in every direction, he’s got quite the look going already. Give him a few months and the rest of him might finally catch up to those full-sized feline whiskers.

Cat_Lady3000 That sounds like a perfect night. Wine and kittens? Sign me up

  • Hard to plan a better day than this. You’ve got friends, wine, a cider farm, and then a tiny orange kitten decides to join the group. What more could you possibly want? Going out for a fun afternoon and coming home with a new feline friend feels like hitting the weekend jackpot. The kitten even came with 14 honorary godparents ready to spoil him. Friends, wine, and a new kitten sounds like a pretty purrfect day to us.

riseandrise You know it's a high quality tour when they include a sweet spicy kitten as a souvenir!

  • You really can’t get a better souvenir than a new pet. Wine bottles eventually empty and little trinkets end up forgotten on a shelf, but a tiny orange kitten gets to come home and become part of the family. Going out expecting a fun afternoon and returning with a new feline friend is pretty hard to beat. It’s the kind of souvenir that sticks around for years, takes over the couch, demands snacks, and gives you plenty of memories long after the trip is over.
