• Farm life gives us so much that we can't experience in other settings. There's such a beautiful stillness and staidness to the life of barn life. The rural atmosphere feels like a breath of fresh air, the silence can contain you and calm you in ways you didn't know you needed. Our nervous systems are always in hyperdrive from the constant stimulation we experience on a daily basis. Maybe we weren't supposed to work in front of a screen 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Maybe we weren't supposed to commute through traffic and people and busy streets and traffic lights. Maybe we weren't supposed to be indulging in screentime in our off time at all hours of the day when we're “resting.” The farm life brings us something vestigial and forgotten, so here's to the barn kittens.
