"Survivor" winner, Black Widow, author, and... actress?
Fan-favorite reality star Parvati Shallow will guest-star in the forthcoming 100th episode of CBS' "Ghosts" as Raquel, the host of the ghosts' favorite reality show called "It's Getting Hot in Here." Her casting was announced during the show's New York Comic-Con panel Friday.
Shallow has competed on "Survivor" four times, winning Season 16 titled "Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites" in 2008. In 2025, she was invited down under to compete in "Australian Survivor — Australia V The World," which she also won. Her other dips into reality TV include Season 2 of Peacock's "The Traitors" and Season 2 of NBC's "Deal or No Deal Island."
Joining Shallow in the landmark "Ghosts" episode is Matt Walsh, who will reprise his role of Elias Woodstone, Hetty's husband. "Ghosts" returns for Season 6 at midseason, though Halloween and Christmas specials will respectively air on Thursday, October 29, and Thursday, December 10, at 9/8c.

- Scott Porter ("Friday Night Lights") is one of 10 cast additions to Netflix's "Little House on the Prairie" reboot, which has wrapped production on Season 2. He will guest-star as Peter Ingalls, the older brother of Luke Bracey's Charles who is described as "the responsible one who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders." Other new Season 2 cast members include Ryan Northcott (the just-renewed "Anna Pigeon") as Walnut Grove store owner William Oleson; Elyse Levesque ("Stargate Universe") as Emma Perry; Paul Greene ("When Calls the Heart") as Emma's husband, Luther; newcomer David Wronko as the Perrys' son, Thomas; Erik Athavale ("American Hostage") as Reverend Alden; Graham Harvey ("Chicago P.D.") as kind-hearted farm boy Johnny Johnson; Lyla Porter-Follows ("Frontier") as young widow Lena Nelson; Jacinta Forest Lewitski as Lena's farm manager, Hannah Walker; and Martin Roach ("See") as Civil War veteran Simon Hughes.
- Ed Quinn ("The Oval") and Stephanie Koenig ("English Teacher") both will recur on Season 2 of ABC's "Scrubs" revival, per Deadline. Quinn will play Dr. Jax, the "overly confident and charming" head of the ER, while Koenig will play Cassie, the hospital's new administrator. Additionally, Kellan Tetlow ("This Is Us") will guest-star as J.D. and Elliot's son, Ollie, and Punkie Johnson ("Saturday Night Live") will guest-star as patient Dee.
- Eric Stonestreet is returning to "Dexter: Resurrection" for Season 2, Paramount+ revealed Thursday during the show's New York Comic-Con panel. He will guest-star in the sophomore season, reprising the role of Rapunzel, a member of Leon Prater's cadre of killers from Season 1.
- Tim Meadows ("Saturday Night Live") is sinking his teeth into a guest-starring role in freshman comedy "Eternally Yours," CBS announced Friday at New York Comic-Con. He'll play a character named Dr. Edwards, "a wisecracking vampire dentist who treats the Blythe family." The series airs Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c.
- Netflix's upcoming series adaptation of the podcast "The Retrievals" has added Arian Moayed ("Succession"), Story Walker ("The First Lady"), Adepero Oduye ("Five Days at Memorial"), and Liam Oh ("Boots").
