Carson Beck has a new home.

The enigmatic signal-caller who spent six years in college football, starting with the Georgia Bulldogs, including two national championships, and ending with a transfer to the Miami Hurricanes, Beck has now been drafted by the Cardinals with the first pick in the third round.

Beck, 23, will likely compete as the backup to starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett after the team cut ties with Kyler Murray this offseason.

After transferring to Miami, Beck put together a strong super-senior season for the Hurricanes, posting a career-high 30 touchdown passes.

The Hurricanes found themselves in the national title game, where they lost to No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, 27-21.

Miami surprisingly defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes 24-14 in the quarterfinals and held on against the Lane Kiffin-less Ole Miss Rebels in the semifinals.

Beck has been a lightning rod for attention during his college career, and made boatloads of money in his one year in Miami — multiple reports suggest between $3 million-$4 million for his single season with the Hurricanes.

He also dated Miami women’s basketball star Hanna Cavinder, though the two broke up before the season began, with rumors and speculation swirling about the reasons for the split.

Beck and Cavinder also had high-priced cars stolen in Feb. 2025, including a Lamborghini and a Mercedes.

Beck was projected to be a day 3 draft pick by most draft prognosticators around the league.
