Carmelo Anthony has a new position with Oak Hill Academy.
First announced by Cardinal News, Oak Hill has hired the alumni to be the co-general manager of the Gold squad boys basketball program at Grayson County private school. Per the report, Anthony will team up with his longtime business manager Bay Frazier for a remote position that will bring forth the knowledge, expertise and experience he has acquired over the years as one of the NBA's all-time greats. As a member of Oak Hill, Anthony led his 2001-02 team to a 32-1 record during a season that also saw him selected to the McDonald’s All-American Boys Game.
Anthony would then go on to play one season at Syracuse University, where he led the team to a NCAA title in 2003. The NBA All-Star was drafted by Denver Nuggets months later, becoming a 10-time NBA All-Star during the course of his 20-year professional career. Earlier this month, it was announced that Anthony will be inducted as a first-ballot choice into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.

"Thank you, first of all. Again, I keep trying to come up with things to say for these moments and there's nothing that I can say that's actually going to express the way that I feel or the way that I'm just trying to take this moment in," Anthony told reporters at the conference, which was captured by ASAP Sports, adding, "To be sitting here as an inductee of the '25 Hall of Fame, not just as an individual but also as a team, 2008 USA Team member. It's a lot to put into perspective."
The induction will take place later on this year.
