Carlos Alcaraz’s rumored girlfriend gets ChatGPT makeover before US Open match

Many tennis fans feel like Carlos Alcaraz‘s style is reminiscent of the sport’s ’70s and ’80s-era golden age.

While we don’t know what Alcaraz would look like on the court back then, we do know how his rumored girlfriend, Claudia Canals, would look while cheering him on, thanks to ChatGPT.

Canals took part in a recent social media trend, where influencers ask ChatGPT to produce a photo of what they would look like in the 1980s, sharing the image before Alcaraz’s US Open quarterfinal match against Ben Shelton today.

Per her Instagram Story, ChatGPT seemed to nail the recreation, with Canals rocking the voluminous hairstyle that dominated the era, along with oversized gold earrings and an acid-wash denim jacket.

Canals and Alcaraz were seen spending time on a boat together earlier this summer, which sparked rumors that the two were a couple.

Neither has confirmed the relationship. And the fact that Canals is in Spain while Alcaraz is in New York has made some fans wonder whether their relationship has continued.

Regardless of his relationship status, Alcaraz’s main focus is the court, as he has breezed through the US Open to this point, having lost only one set heading into Tuesday’s match against Shelton.

Alcaraz’s archrival Jannik Sinner had to withdraw due to a knee injury. So the 23-year-old Spanish star has a clear path to his eighth Grand Slam single’s title if he can beat Shelton.
