The St. Louis Cardinals have been rolling this season. Despite fully committing to the rebuild, the club has been able to keep itself in the thick of things in the division.
JJ Wetherholt has been fantastic in his first season, and Jordan Walker and Ivan Herrera have also been great with the bat in their hands while the pitching staff is looking the part.
However, last week was a real test for this surging young team. They faced off against the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs, who have been on fire as of late.

Cardinals make noise in the power rankings after another impressive week
The Cardinals did not have many problems against the Braves, taking the series 2-1, moving on to their weekend series against their division rivals, the Cubs.
Here, it was much of the same as they were able to cool down the Cubs, taking the series 2-1, making for a 4-2 week, which has helped bump them up the power rankings from No. 14 last week to No. 10 this week, according to Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller.
"There are only six teams with at least 50 wins this season, and St. Louis just won back-to-back road series against two of the members of that club. The Cardinals put up 11 runs in the final game in Atlanta before exploding for 17 runs the following day in Chicago. And if they can stay hot against 50-win teams, look out. They've got five games against Milwaukee and three against Atlanta coming up in their pre-All Star Break homestand."
Now, the Cardinals still have a test on their hands before the All-Star break, and that's five games against the Milwaukee Brewers, including a doubleheader, and another series against the Braves over the weekend in what will be a busy week.
