Cardi B gave ancient temple sculpture a Bronx accent at Paris Couture Week.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper sat front row at Rahul Mishra’s fall/winter 2026 haute couture show Monday, wearing a custom gown by the Indian designer at the Collège des Bernardins .
The ivory corset design used trompe l’oeil embroidery and draping to make her body appear chiseled from stone, with additional intricate beadwork at her shoulders and hips heightening the illusion.
The designer shared that the look was inspired by the 12th-century sculpture of Mohini at India’s Chennakeshava Temple in Belur.
“We worked thread by thread to recreate the illusion of carved jewellery, drape and form on fabric… translating stone into something weightless, living and wearable,” Mishra wrote, calling the piece “a tribute to an extraordinary artistic legacy, and to the timeless power of Indian craftsmanship.”
The collection, “Devi: The Eternal Muse,” takes its name from the Sanskrit word for “goddess,” or divine one, and drew on ancient Indian temple statues and carvings dating back to the second-century Ajanta caves.

Cardi, 33, and stylist Kollin Carter completed the ensemble with a maang tikka headpiece, Chopard earrings and Gianvito Rossi heels. Jeweler Tanishq later added a couture diamond necklace around her neck after she had taken her front-row seat.
The mom of four posted the look to Instagram Monday with the caption: “I’m only accepting princess treatment.”
On social media, commenters showered Cardi — and her dress — with praise, calling her “a walking goddess.”
“Thunderous applause for the embroidery artisans who transformed the fluid cloth into sculpted stone👏👏 🫡,” one fan wrote.
Singer Rei Ami opened the runway show, while Reliance Retail executive Isha Ambani took a front-row seat in a slate-grey design from the same collection.
