One of boxing’s biggest stars returns to action on May 3, as Canelo Alvarez competes in Saudi Arabia against William Scull. The fight to determine the undisputed super middleweight champion airs on DAZN worldwide.

Canelo (62-2-2) is the unified champion at 168. It took him eleven months to become undisputed by beating a who’s who of stars. The Mexican star was stripped of the belt when he didn’t face Scull, then the mandatory challenger.

With a Hall of Fame-worthy resume, Canelo can elevate his game by becoming a two-time undisputed champion in his first fight outside North America. He’s ready to have his hand raised against the Cuban.

"Being undisputed means a lot. It’s history for my career and that’s what I want. That’s what motivates me,” Canelo said. “I expect that he’ll be difficult in the beginning, just like in the Erislandy Lara fight. But I’m a different fighter now, and he’s gonna feel it on Saturday.”

Scull (23-0) has nine wins via knockout. He beat Vladimir Shishkin to win the IBF title. A wide underdog, Scull is ready to beat a legend by making Canelo feel uncomfortable all night.

“We’re going to take this fight round by round. I’m a boxer who can manage all types of distances in the ring. We’ll have to see how that plan develops,” Scull said.

Also on the card, Badou Jack defends the WBC cruiserweight title against Norair Mikaeljan, Martin Bakole returns, and Jaime Munguia faces Bruno Surace in a rematch from the 2024 Upset of the Year.
