Candace Owens has said that Donald Trump's calling the Epstein Files a "hoax" made her stop supporting the MAGA movement. She raised questions to both the Republicans and Democrats regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Epstein was a convicted sex offender and a pedophile. He was sentenced to prison and died in August 2019 via suicide at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC). However, he had an alleged list of associates, which contained some of the biggest names in the world. It includes his clients and other people who might have information about his activities.

Ahead of the 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised that he would work towards releasing these files if he became the US president. However, it hasn't been the case, and he has even labeled these files a "hoax".

American political commentator Candace Owens slammed Trump for his comments in a video on her YouTube channel on November 13. She said:

"I was done with MAGA at the moment he looks in the face, and he said, what files, right? What, what... Are we still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? Ma'am Bondi said it was a Democrat hoax." "No, I think the entire nation has been hoaxed by Republicans and Democrats, and there are pervert elites that sit at the top. That's my suspicion."

Owens also pointed out that Epstein's recently released emails also paint a negative story against Trump.

On November 12, the House Oversight Committee released some emails from Jeffrey Epstein's estate. In one of the emails, Epstein wrote about Trump in 2018:

"I am the one able to take him down ... I know how dirty donald is"

In another email from 2011, he wrote to his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell:

"I want you to realize that that the dog that hasn't barked is trump.. [VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him"

Donald Trump reacted to these emails via a post on his Truth Social account on the night of November 12, writing:

"The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects. Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap." "The Democrats cost our Country $1.5 Trillion Dollars with their recent antics of viciously closing our Country, while at the same time putting many at risk — and they should pay a fair price. There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!" he added.

In the emails, Epstein also labeled Trump as "borderline insane".

Meanwhile, there is a US government shutdown on Wednesday, November 19. After that, the House of Representatives will vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act. If it passes, this will force the Justice Department to release the complete Epstein files.
