The New York Giants have had a disappointing 2025 season. Their on-field issues resulted in coach Brian Daboll being fired back in November after four seasons. Mike Kafka took over as the interim coach. Despite this, the Giants were unable to secure a win since their 34-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.
On Sunday, the team finally managed to break the shackles and move ahead from their underwhelming nine-game losing skid. They secured a dominating 34-10 victory over the struggling Las Vegas Raiders on the road.
However, according to NFL insider Ari Meriov, this victory has an impact on their 2026 draft pick. Following this win, the Raiders are now in the competition for the first overall pick in next year's draft.

Worst GM in the NFL. Somehow still has a job.
Could’ve had the biggest draft haul of this teams history but gave it up for another “culture changing win” (this team will be last place in the NFC again next year)
Losers of Long Term Culture
This victory helped Mike Kafka and his team improve to a 3-13 record despite being dead last in the NFC East. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart improved after his disappointing performance during their loss to the Vikings last week. He completed 22 of 30 passes for 207 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Mike Kafka shares his honest thoughts on Giants' 34-10 victory over the Raiders
In the postgame press conference, Mike Kafka complimented his players for their performance against the Raiders.
"Great, great win," Kafka said. "Really all three phases stepped up. ... Really proud of how Jaxson rebounded from last couple of weeks in terms of stepping up. It's not easy to win this league. And for him to step up like that like he did, not only throw the ball but run the football as well. "Really proud of our defense for stepping up. ... I thought they played with their hair on fire."This was Mike Kafka's first win after taking over as Brian Daboll's replacement. They will face the Cowboys on Sunday in their final game of the season.
