Cam Thomas steals the show in his Bucks debut

1 hour ago 2

Cam Thomas is a bucket.

That much has been known for his entire basketball career. And that's who the Milwaukee Bucks got to see in his debut on Wednesday night.

The rest can be a worry for another day.

Sure, the Brooklyn Nets released him because he doesn't do much else.

Sure, there are questions about how much he can truly impact winning.

But for one night at least, the Bucks' newest player was a shining star.

Thomas dropped 34 points as the Bucks triumphed in his team debut.

That included an exclamation point 3-pointer from the logo:

Thomas came off the bench in his debut. He played 25 minutes. And as usual, he wasn't shy.

He shot 12-for-20 from the field, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range. He added four rebounds and two assists.

Thomas was a plus-6 in a game the Bucks won 116-108, which is solid for the time he had off the bench.

Speaking of new guys: Ousmane Dieng added 17 points off the bench.

Maybe the Bucks can't salvage this season, but if they can show Giannis Antetokounmpo that they've added some promising pieces, that can be good in the long run.

For now, Thomas will just keep letting it fly. It's what he does.
