California freeway hell as two people ejected sparking lane closures through rush hour

Two people were killed after being ejected in a deadly crash on the 5 Freeway early Thursday, with lane closures disrupting the rush hour commute.

The grisly smash on an off-ramp on the southbound side in Anaheim led to heavy traffic as drivers tried to get to work.

The California Highway Patrol incident log lists the crash at 3:15 a.m. near Lincoln Avenue.
Police believe a vehicle missed an exit and crashed around 15ft down an embankment next to the highway.

Four people were in the vehicle. Traffic has been snarled in the area and CHP has issued a SigAlert with the closure of two southbound lanes.
