Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is having a sweet stretch to end the 2025 NFL season. The Bears clinched the NFC North title in Ben Johnson's first season as head coach, with Williams drastically improving his level after a tumultuous rookie season.
Amid a three-game turnover-free streak, the former USC quarterback detailed what is behind his flawless play in recent games. Williams credited veteran Matthew Stafford for his combination of accuracy and strength.
"I think I heard Matthew Stafford say this once: sometimes you throw it hard it enough, typically the DBs can't catch it," Williams said on Wednesday.•

Caleb Williams reflects on reaching major milestone in Chicago Bears history
As crazy as it sounds, Caleb Williams could be the first Chicago Bears quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards in a single NFL season. The closest has been Erik Kramer (3,838), who Williams should easily surpass on Sunday. He needs 270 more to hit 4,000.
"It'd be cool just in the sense of there's never been one here," Williams said Wednesday, via the Chicago Tribune. "I think I was brought here for those types of things and those types of moments, the things that haven't been done here, to try and be able to accomplish."Ben Johnson said it would be a terrific milestone, but added that Williams and the rest of the team are focused on the bigger prize.
"If it were to happen that'd be great," Johnson said. "But he would agree with me when I say that our No. 1 objective is to win this ballgame. Whatever that takes, that's our goal. We'll see where it's at at the end of the year. That's a tertiary goal, if you will."Why did you not like this content?
