Cal Raleigh's girlfriend Hannah Shimek sends uplifting words after the Mariners slugger's defeat to Aaron Judge in 2025 AL MVP race

Cal Raleigh’s girlfriend, Hannah Shimek, shared a couple's photo on her Instagram story on Friday, cheering him on in the 2025 AL MVP race. On Thursday, the MVP voting closed; Aaron Judge won with 355 points for the third time in his career, and Raleigh got 335 votes.

“Always my MVP,” Shimek wrote a comforting message on her story.

Cal Raleigh posted an elite performance with a .247 batting average, 60 homers and 125 RBIs this season. He became the seventh player to hit 60 homers in a season, surpassing the record of Yankees hitter Mickey Mantle (54) and securing the position as the first switch-hitter to hit 20+ homers from each side of the plate.

The 28-year-old Raleigh won the American League Silver Slugger for the catcher position for the first time. Mariners shared the announcement six days ago with the caption:

Cal Raleigh’s girlfriend, Hannah Shimek, posted a series of photos of ALCS Game moments in an Instagram post. Raleigh wore a black October baseball uniform, while Shimek wore a navy-colored shirt featuring "October baseball."

“It is hard to put into words the pride I feel for Cal and this organization," Shimek captioned the post. "This is not the ending anyone wanted, but it does not take away from the history made. Thank you to everyone who cheered near and far for my guy and his guys. I already can’t wait for next season, and I love this city SO much💙🥂.”

The post also features a moment with Raleigh’s mother, Stephani. Shimek also wrote a grateful message for Stephani on October 25.

“Thank you to these amazing women for being so kind and letting me steal their kids whenever I wanted😉 Miss you all already, enjoy your offseason🥂,” Shimek wrote.

The couple started dating in 2023. Hannah Shimek is from North Carolina and a Softball and Baseball Hitting Instructor. She won two national championships while playing for Southern Oregon University.
