Spencer Pratt Reveals Why He Missed BFF Brody Jenner’s Wedding
Caitlyn Jenner wouldn’t miss her son’s big day for the world.
Nearly two weeks after her manager and close friend Sophia Hutchins died after an ATV accident July 2, the Kardashians star made a rare appearance to support her and Linda Thompson’s son Brody Jenner on his wedding day.
Indeed, the 75-year-old was among the guests who gathered, per TMZ, to watch the Hills alum tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Tia Blanco—with whom he shares 23-month old daughter Honey Raye Jenner—at Linda’s Malibu home.
Caitlyn’s appearance at her son’s intimate nuptials came less than a week after authorities shared that Sophia—who was driving a 2013 Polaris four-wheeler—rear-ended a 2016 Mazda sedan in the mountains of Malibu, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told the Daily Mail, before falling off a 350-foot cliff.
"It doesn't seem like she was following them," Malibu/Lost Hills Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo—who added that there were two uninjured females in the car—told the outlet. "I think she just came up on them and then hit the car."
"So it looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it," he continued, "but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there."
And while Caitlyn shared that she’s been navigating “tough times” following the incident, she couldn’t miss her son’s nuptials.
Because while Brody and Caitlyn now share a close bond, their relationship was not always without its hiccups. Indeed, the 41-year-old previously admitted that he felt “a little bit abandoned” by his father—who transitioned in 2015—throughout his childhood.

"I'd randomly see him—'him' at the time—you know, here and there,” Brody—whose mom split from Caitlyn when he was a toddler in 1986—shared on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test earlier this year. “But, mom would tell me that I would write on cards, 'Why doesn't dad call me on my birthday?'"
After all, Caitlyn was busy with her new marriage to Kris Jenner—who was already mother to Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Rob Kardashian—and her commitment to filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"I had an incredible mother. Father, Bruce, at the time, wasn't around that much," he continued. "They split, and then he met a woman. She had kids as well. The woman that he met, they had kids together."

As for how Caitlyn reacted to these comments? While Brody emphasized that all their past issues are water under the bridge, he still wanted to give his dad a warning before she discovered the episode herself.
"We talk all the time," Brody told E! News of his father in January. "I even texted Caitlyn after I watched the episode. I'm like, 'Hey Dad, just so you know, there's this stuff.' But, we're in a good place."
"She was so supportive and didn't care,” he added. “She's like, 'Look, I've done all these types of shows. I know how these things work, but you're doing great.'"
