Caitlin Clark sets 2 all-time WNBA records on one spinning bucket for Indiana Fever

The bucket itself was remarkable enough.

And when you consider that Caitlin Clark set two all-time WNBA records on that same play, it's even more special for the Indiana Fever superstar in Saturday's season opener.

First, the simple fact is this: Clark spun smoothly through the lane and finished to reach 1,000 career WNBA points.

She's reached 1,000 career points in just 54 games, which matches Tamika Catchings -- who was in attendance Saturday -- for one of the fastest players ever to get to 1K in WNBA history.

Specifically, though, she's the fastest point guard ever to that mark:

She's also the fastest player in league history to 1,000 points, 250 rebounds and 250 assists:

Clearly, Clark is special -- and Saturday brought quite the thrilling back-and-forth clash with Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.

These won't be the last records that Clark sets, but they're just a couple more to put on her ledger.

It's certainly a fun way for the Fever and Clark to get their 2026 season underway.
