The Indiana Fever scored only six points in the first quarter of Monday night's game against the lowly Phoenix Mercury.
Caitlin Clark was held scoreless as the Fever shot just 2-for-18 from the field in the first 10 minutes. After suffering consecutive losses to the Atlanta Dream, this was far from ideal for Indiana, which trailed Phoenix 19-6 after the first quarter.

But after tying their season low for points scored in a quarter, the Fever caught fire in the second frame.
End of first quarter:
Mercury - 19
Fever - 6
Indiana shot 2-18 FG and 2-12 3PT in Q1.
Indiana outscored Phoenix 35-22 in the second quarter, when Clark scored 15 points as the Fever tied up the game at 41.
Those 15 points led all scorers, and her scorching streak served as another reminder that Clark -- for some of the flaws in her game -- is one of the WNBA's most exciting players on a nightly basis.
