The Indiana Fever have an absolutely bizarre schedule for the 2026 WNBA season.
Caitlin Clark and company began the campaign with a busy stretch, then are super bored for a bit, then get back to it with super busy.
This post on X sums it up with some numbers:
The Fever played 4 games in 8 days.
Then play 2 games in 13 days.
Then play 5 games in 9 days.
Who made this schedule 😂

They're in the lull right now.
They played on Friday, May 22, a win over the Valkyries.
They don't play again until Thursday, May 28, this time on the road at Golden State in a rematch.
Indiana then plays Saturday, May 30 in Portland against the Fire.
They return to the court Thursday, June 4 at home against the Dream, then play the Liberty two days later, the Mystics two days after that and the Sky three days later.
The scheduling gap appears to have to do with the West Coast swing, but it still has left the Fever quite lopsided on both sides of this slow stretch.
The Fever aren't happy with how they've played so far this season, so maybe it'll work out nicely for Indiana as a chance to work on some things.
But they'd surely like things spaced out a little better than they have been just for the sake of health -- especially for Clark and her wonky back injury.
