Caitlin Clark traded the hardwood for the greens this week, returning to Pelican Golf Club to participate in the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am. The former Iowa star teed off Wednesday morning with partners Dan Towriss and Jordan Jackson, and spent the opening stretch paired with world No. 2 Nelly Korda.
Korda said she relished the chance to play alongside Clark, whose growing celebrity got a nice audience.
“That first tee was something out of a book, almost,” Korda said. “It’s so fun. It’s cool to see how many people she brings together to another sport.”

— LPGA (@LPGA) November 12, 2025Clark delivered one of the day’s highlights when she drained a roughly 35-foot putt, prompting cheers from spectators and a celebratory fist pump. Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull, decked out in caddie vests with “Indiana,” erupted as they followed her group around the course.
After her round, Clark spoke about the difficulty of balancing golf’s many challenges.
“Golf is a hard game,” she said. “Some days your putting is really good, some days it’s really bad. You never seem to have everything working at once, but you just figure it out and have fun. I don’t take golf serious.”
Clark’s appearance came months after a season cut short by injuries. Sidelined since July with a groin issue, she was ruled out in September. Now fully recovered, Clark said she plans to compete in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
