Iowa stars Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin have been best friends, showing off their relationship every chance they get over the past few years.

Clark, a member of the Indiana Fever, won't have an opportunity to play with Martin in the WNBA, at least for now. Martin was selected in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Las Vegas Aces, but has since joined the Golden State Valkyries, the WNBA's new team.

Searching for a fresh start in Golden State, Clark wants her friend to do what she does best. After Martin shared a photo on Instagram, Clark commented on it, saying "LFG" with fire emojis.

Martin appeared in 34 games for the Aces last season, arguably the best team in the WNBA. She played 11.5 minutes per game and averaged 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists.

The Iowa product shot 35.5% from three-point range on 1.8 attempts per game.

In college, Martin was excellent for Iowa in her final year, averaging 13.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.

Dealing with an injury, the hope is for Martin to be ready to go for the start of the season. She missed the Valkyries' final preseason game on Sunday.

Clark and Martin will play each other on June 19, July 9, and August 31.

Two of those games will be in Golden State, giving fans a chance to watch Clark in what should be an exciting battle between the two friends.
