Don't look now, the WNBA season hasn't even officially started yet, and Caitlin Clark has already been declared the favorite to win the 2025 WNBA MVP.
It shouldn't come as surprise that many already have their bets on Clark to take home the MVP honors after her incredibly successful rookie campaign, but the bets are starting to become more official. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Indiana Fever star is currently the +200 favorite to win the 2025 WNBA MVP. Right behind her is two-time WNBA champ A'ja Wilson, who the company projects to be +220. Of course, we'll have to wait and see how the season plays out, but year two is already looking exciting for Clark.
And if she has a season anything like her rookie campaign, she may just nab the The Sporting News Female Athlete of the Year award again, which she scored for the year 2024. Needless to say, "The Caitlin Clark Effect" has now become a catchphrase when it comes to discussing how her influence changed the game for women's basketball at all levels.
