On Monday, Clark returned to her home state of Iowa for a special event at McCombs Middle School, where she helped unveil a new basketball court. She also handed out school supplies to students as part of the visit.

But it wasn’t just about the court or the giveaways. The reaction from the students said it all.

Some young boys, clearly in awe, shouted things like, “She’s better than Stephen Curry. She’s better than LeBron [James].”

Others talked about Clark like she’s already locked in as an all-time great, with one saying she should be MVP every year and another predicting she’ll be the next NBA 2K cover athlete.

One student was so excited after a quick interaction that he said, “I’m never washing my hand again,” after he got to fist bump her.

Safe to say these fans think Caitlin Clark is the 🐐!

While it might sound like playground hyperbole, the admiration from the younger generation is no joke. Clark is resonating with young fans in a way few athletes ever do and the fact that they’re already placing her above some of the NBA’s biggest names speaks volumes.
