The 13th edition of The Basketball Tournament reaches its conclusion Sunday as La Familia hosts Davis Steel in the championship game with $2 million on the line.
It's always basketball season in Kentucky, and Big Blue Nation figures to be out in force as the former Wildcats of La Familia play for a TBT title for the first time. Davis Steel, meanwhile, will attempt to get over the hump after falling in the championship game a year ago while playing under the team's previous name, Eberlein Drive.
The man in the spotlight Sunday will be Archie Goodwin, the 31-year-old former first-round NBA Draft pick who played one year at UK. The guard is averaging a tournament-high 26.7 points and dropped 28 in La Familia's Alumni Bracket final victory over their Kansas counterparts from JHX Hoops.
Backcourt play has also been key for Davis Steel, with former Pac-12 guards Terrell Brown and Gabe York leading the way.
