The Houston Texans may have to manage another week without C.J. Stroud.
After his Week 9 concussion, his playing status for Week 11 is still in doubt after he missed Week 10.
It looked like Houston would suffer for not having Stroud on Sunday against the Jaguars, but then backup QB Davis Mills led a heroic second-half rally to improve the Texans' record to 4-5.
Houston is in Tennessee to take on the Titans on Sunday. There's a chance they have no choice but to ride with Mills again.

Is C.J. Stroud playing this week?
Stroud's chances of playing in Week 11 took a hit on Wednesday, and he now seems quite uncertain.
The news emerged early Wednesday afternoon that Stroud was not participating in practice, still listed with his concussion. That suggests he hasn't cleared concussion protocol yet.
ESPN's Adam Schefter chimed in:
Shaping up as another week of Davis Mills. https://t.co/oJtB1O2HVp
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 12, 2025It seems like Stroud's only chance to make it back this week would be if he practiced Thursday. If he's still not out of protocol until Friday, it'd be tough to incorporate the whole gameplan in for him and the offense for Week 11.
Houston has a tough matchup with the Buffalo Bills in Week 12 on Thursday Night Football. If the Texans can get through the Titans with Mills, maybe Stroud will be healed up to take on Josh Allen on the short week.
