AJ Dybantsa is in Provo, preparing to take the college basketball world by storm.
And it looks like he might jump out of the gym in the process.
Dybantsa is lined up to be a freshman phenom for BYU, on an almost-certain path toward a one-and-done departure for the NBA Draft.
He's one of three incoming freshman expected to be in the running for the No. 1 overall pick, along with Darryn Peterson (Kansas) and Cameron Boozer (Duke).
Dybantsa might be the only one who can jump this high:

— BYU Men's Basketball (@BYUMBB) July 29, 2025Dybantsa is so high up there it looks fake.
BYU didn't want to do us a solid and provide a measurement here, but we can spitball it a bit.
The top of a backboard is something like 13 feet from the floor. We can also use the staff member on the ground as a reference point, and Dybantsa's feet are up near his chest.
It's safe to say this is a vertical up in the 40-inch range.
Other players can jump this high, too, although Dybantsa's length makes it look extra springy. And it's even more exciting when you imagine all the things the freshman can do with a basketball in his hands while this high in the air.
BYU's opponents should definitely look out, or they may end up on a poster.
