Bunnie Xo loves a good memoir — specifically ones written by women.

“I’ve always been drawn to stories about women who were misunderstood, sexualized, underestimated and still found a way to take their power back,” the author — whose new book “Stripped Down” is out now — tells Page Six.

She adds that she wants a memoir that isn’t “polished to perfection.”

“I want the truth, the grit, the reinvention,” she says.

See below for Bunnie’s must-read memoir recommendations.

“Yours Cruelly, Elvira” by Cassandra Peterson

Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark," featuring a black and white image of Elvira with a red "NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER" stamp and a RuPaul quote.

“I love how she built an iconic character in a world that tried to box her in and still kept ownership of it. There’s something powerful about a woman creating her own mythology and refusing to apologize for it. It’s camp, it’s clever, but it’s also about resilience and reinvention.”

“Inside Out” by Demi Moore

A Memoir" by Demi Moore, featuring a black and white portrait of the actress.

“This one is raw in a way that surprised me. She doesn’t hide the addiction, the insecurity, the hunger to be loved and that honesty is brave. It’s a reminder that even the most glamorous women have to fight to feel worthy.”

“Stripped Down” by Bunnie Xo

Woman with blonde hair and tattoos, wearing jeans, with text "Stripped Down Unfiltered and Unapologetic" and "Bunnie XO".

“This book was different for me because I lived every word of it. I rewrote it to make sure it felt like my voice and not a polished version of who people think I am. It’s about survival, loyalty, love and becoming something bigger than your beginning.”

“Down the Rabbit Hole” by Holly Madison

Book cover for "Down the Rabbit Hole" by Holly Madison, featuring Madison with a finger to her lips.

“I appreciate how she pulled back the curtain on a world that looked shiny from the outside. It’s about image versus reality and how hard it is to untangle your identity from the brand built around you. That kind of self-examination takes guts.”

“Open Book” by Jessica Simpson

Book cover for "Open Book" by Jessica Simpson, featuring a black and white photo of Simpson smiling.

“This book made me respect her on a completely different level. She talks about addiction, heartbreak, body image but also about building an empire on her own terms. It’s proof that vulnerability and business savvy can coexist.”
