Bulls $10 million player committed the most embarrassing play of the season

The Chicago Bulls had an active trade deadline, and one of their newest players got the chance to try and make a strong early impression on Saturday.

Instead, Jaden Ivey made one of the most nonsensical, embarrassing plays of the entire NBA season.

Ivey came over from the Detroit Pistons, and he's supposed to be showing he's a young guard with lots of potential.

It's hard to explain away this play, though, where Ivey moves as if to pass a handful of times, doesn't identify a receiver, then still throws into traffic and is intercepted.

It's hard to see why Ivey was even all fired up to throw a pass in a first place.

Then, you see his brain realize multiple times that he probably shouldn't throw a pass there.

Except, then he still chucks it anyway.

And after the pass doesn't work, Ivey's body language suggests disbelief, even though this outcome was entirely believable.

Maybe he's frustrated being on a new team that is worse than the one he left, and he's certainly got a bunch of new teammates to learn.

This play still was pretty much inexplicable. What was Ivey doing? It may be better for all of our sanity if we just never know.
