Buffalo Bills wide receivers warned about big changes, cuts coming

In a matter of a week, the Buffalo Bills went from not having enough wide receivers to having too many. They selected Maryland wideout Kaden Prather in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, and followed that up by signing former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore.

Now with two additional pass-catchers on the roster, that will leave multiple pass-catchers open to become cap casualties. Appearing on One Bills Live, ESPN's Adam Schefter seemingly left a warning for the Bills' receivers of the inevitable that awaits the unit in the coming months.

"They have so many [wide receivers] that there's not room for all of them right now," Schefter said.

The receiver who seems most likely to be let go would be Curtis Samuel. He caught just 31 passes in 2024 and his cap hit sits at $9.7 million for the 2025 season. Moore is cheaper, and Prather is younger and arguably more explosive. While they'll all duke it out in training camp and preseason, Samuel's seat looks very hot.
