Buffalo Bills OT Dion Dawkins proposes new NFL award that everyone will agree on

The NFL has announced their finalists for each of their respective awards for the 2024-25 season. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and safety Damar Hamlin were both named finalists for awards, with Allen being nominated for MVP and Hamlin being nominated for Comeback Player of the Year.

With that in mind, offensive tackle Dion Dawkins proposed an idea for a new award that actually makes a lot of sense.

"Offensive linemen don't have awards for being great," Dawkins said. "There's not a Protector of the Year Award. I'm knocking at so many doors now to get this award going. And I'm going to head spear it and make sure this gets done before I'm done playing."

It makes all the sense in the world to have a yearly award that recognizes the league's top lineman, so here's to hoping Dawkins gets his wish.
