This might be the year for the Buffalo Bills.
They've got a bunch of happily extended stars (well, except for James Cook). They've got the reigning NFL MVP (Josh Allen, who got his own big new contract).
And the NFL schedule makers did the Bills quite a solid.
Every little bit counts in terms of playing well, staying healthy and maintaining momentum in the pursuit of upending the Kansas City Chiefs and chasing a Super Bowl.
The Ringer's Anthony Dabbundo broke down four key points that are working in the Bills' favor on their schedule:
- Buffalo's three toughest games are at home: vs. the Eagles, Chiefs and Ravens
- Only one road game not in the Eastern time zone (Houston)
- Four road games that amount to almost no travel: at Jets, Patriots, Steelers, Browns
- No back-to-back road games on regular rest

A cynic would point out that the Bills have put together a bunch of strong regular seasons in a row but don't yet have an appearance in the Super Bowl to show for it.
But in a game of inches played with an oddly shaped ball, every bit of good fortune helps. And the Bills were provided with plenty of it in this season's schedule.
