Bucks trade pitch sends Giannis Antetokounmpo to Eastern Conference rival for haul of draft picks

The Milwaukee Bucks have seemingly accomplished their offseason goal, but there’s no guarantee the status quo lasts.

Over the past few seasons, the Bucks have struggled to maintain their status as a championship contender. After winning the NBA title in 2021, Milwaukee hasn’t been able to reach the conference finals again in the four years since, which includes three first-round exits.

Despite the Bucks’ inability to make any postseason noise in recent years, the team is still set to bring Giannis Antetokounmpo into the 2025-26 season. Although things haven’t always panned out for the two-time MVP over the past few years, the team has done enough to keep him happy this offseason.

Still, Antetokounmpo’s top goal is to win another championship, and it might not be easy to accomplish that in Milwaukee. If the superstar realizes that the Bucks aren’t cut out to help him reach that goal, Fantasy Sports on SI’s Ryan Shea’s mock trade might be a perfect fit.

Bucks receive: OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson, three first-round picks, two second-round picks

Knicks receive Giannis Antetokounmpo

Shipping Antetokounmpo to New York is rather straightforward from the superstar’s perspective. Antetokounmpo would get to be in a huge market and play for one of the best teams in the league, with the Knicks likely not batting an eye at the package they're sending out.

Meanwhile, the Bucks might be intrigued by this package for Antetokounmpo because of the three first-round picks and tradeable pieces. Although the team would likely want a young cornerstone in return, Anunoby and Robinson could easily be flipped for more picks from teams looking to make a title push.
