If you want to at least start to understand the difference between college basketball and the NBA, look at Mark Sears.
Sears was a first-team All-American for Alabama.
But he went undrafted into the NBA.
He didn't stay available for long. Moments after the NBA Draft ended on Thursday, the Milwaukee Bucks had an agreement to sign Sears, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
It could work out well for the Bucks, despite Sears' apparent limitations.

Sears is listed as 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds.
The lefty poured in 18.6 points per game with 5.1 assists per game in his final season with Alabama.
He shot 34.5% from 3 as a graduate senior, but in his standard senior season the year before, he was at 43.6% from 3. There's shooting talent here.
Sears played five years of college hoops. The first two were at Ohio University in the MAC.
His age can be viewed as a knock against him.
But on a Bucks team without star point guard Damian Lillard due to a torn Achilles, Sears could matter right away. His basketball IQ and experience might allow him to step into an early role off the bench.
And if he shoots it well and distributes the ball safely, people will quickly not be worried that he wasn't drafted.
