Bucks predicted to part ways with $90 million forward in bold offseason trade

The Milwaukee Bucks will enter the offseason with several pressing questions to answer surrounding their talented yet flawed roster.

While the front office remains committed to its All-Star tandem of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, questions still linger surrounding their supporting cast and overall team construction.

Last season, the Bucks made a splash at the trade deadline, trading for Kyle Kuzma in a deal that sent long-time fan favorite Khris Middleton to the nation's capital.

The move was intended to inject some energy into their rotation; however, he failed to find chemistry with the two Bucks stars. The results spokr for themselves: despite finishing the regular season with a solid record of 48-34, the Bucks came up short in the postseason, falling to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

ESPN has suggested a three-team trade involving the Orlando Magic and Chicago that would center around Kuzma.

The Milwaukee Bucks get Wendell Carter Jr., Ayo Dosunmu, and Jett Howard.

Orlando Magic get Pat Connaughton, Jalen Smith, Jevon Carter, a 2031 first-round pick, and a 2032 first-round pick swap (with Milwaukee).

The Chicago Bulls get Kyle Kuzma, Andre Jackson Jr., 2031 second-round pick

This hypothetical deal would see the Bucks receive a trio of young stars to pair with Antetokounmpo and Lillard while parting ways with some expendable bench players such as Andre Jackson Jr. and Pat Connaughton.

Dosunmo and Howard are both capable scorers who can give the Bucks added offensive firepower, especially with Lillard expected to miss a majority of the season.

Meanwhile, Carter Jr. would give the Bucks another reliable big man in the frontcourt, particularly if Brook Lopez chooses to leave in the offseason.
