The Milwaukee Bucks have been headlined by their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for almost a decade, but it seems his days in Milwaukee may be numbered. With multiple early playoff losses, Antetokounmpo may want to look for a new home.
Antetokounmpo isn’t helping stave off rumors either. He recently posted to his Instagram a picture of him getting ready for a game, with two emojis for a caption, one prayer hands and another saluting. Fans are taking this as a thank you, and goodbye to Milwaukee, and are coming up with possible places he could go.
“Might be a [San Antonio] Spur or [Los Angeles] Laker,” one fan tweeted. “He’s a Laker omg,” another fan shared. Both teams are high up in the predicted landing spots for Antetokounmpo, as they have the resources to get him.
Other teams were included as one fan posted, “just go to the [New York] Knicks man,” but analysts believe the Knicks could not afford him.
Overall, most fans were just convinced Antetokounmpo was as good as gone. “He’s not coming back to Milwaukee,” one fan tweeted. “Oh yea he’s as good as gone,” another posted. “Yea bros a goner,” was another post with a crying face emoji.
All in all, the general consensus that Antetokounmpo is leaving Milwaukee may be right. Antetokounmpo hasn’t seen true success since 2021 when the Bucks won it all, and he might go somewhere else to find that success. Where he goes however, is still totally up in the air for now.
