The Titans are packing their bags for a trip to Tampa Bay, where they’ll kick off their preseason slate against the Buccaneers.
The Bucs, fresh off a 10-7 campaign in 2024, once again ruled the roost in the NFC South, nabbing their fourth straight division crown and punching a playoff ticket for the fifth year in a row. Their postseason, however, ended with a thud — a narrow 23-20 defeat to the Washington Commanders in the wild card round.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield had the offense humming last season, steering Tampa Bay to the league’s third-best mark with an average of 399.6 yards per game. Mayfield himself had a career year, racking up 4,500 passing yards — good enough for third place in the NFL — and proving he can sling it with the best of them.
Over in Tennessee, the winds of change blew through the front office early in the 2025 offseason. The franchise welcomed Mike Borgonzi as the 15th general manager in team history.
A seasoned veteran from the Kansas City Chiefs’ war room, Borgonzi spent 16 seasons helping craft a dynasty that produced 12 playoff appearances, 10 AFC West crowns, and three Super Bowl trophies (2019, 2022, 2023). Now, he’s looking to sprinkle some of that championship magic over the Titans’ blueprint.
