The Buccaneers were counted out by many before "Thursday Night Football," with Baker Mayfield's absence seemingly dooming a winless Tampa Bay team.

After beating the Cowboys in Dallas, undrafted rookie QB Jalon Daniels might be turning some of those doubters into believers.

Dallas' defensive lapses were part of the story, but Daniels avoided turnovers and only had six incompletions in his first NFL win. After the game, the quarterback celebrated the victory with his mom on the Amazon Prime Video postgame set.

Here's how the heartwarming moment played out.

Daniels and Vita Vea joined Prime Video's postgame show after the win, but they were quickly joined by someone else wearing a Buccaneers jersey: Starkey "Star" Daniels, whose son led the team to its first win of the season.

Star's face lit up as Jalon called her up onto the set, and she set by his side for the entire conversation with the panel.

Asked how proud she is of her son, Star said with a huge smile, "It is indescribable. This moment is so big. I'm speechless."

Nearly choking up, Star looked at Jalon and added, "I'm so proud of you. I am so proud of you. This is amazing."

Daniels finished 19-of-25 for 189 yards and a touchdown in the win, mostly taking what the Cowboys' defense gave him but also taking a shot and hitting a wide-open Tez Johnson for a 64-yard gain to set up a touchdown in the third quarter.

After Daniels threw a pair of interceptions in his first NFL start, the former Kansas star played a cleaner game and avoided turnovers entirely. The Buccaneers led by as much as 14 in the win.

Whether Daniels will get another start is unclear, as Mayfield reportedly hopes to return from a thumb injury in Week 6, but the Buccaneers now have reason to be confident if their quarterback can't suit up.
